Songwriting & Music Composing

This workshop has been designed for young talented Musicians who would like to take their Music experience  to the next level.  Creating your own music may seem a bit challenging sometimes, but with the right fundamentals of music, this could be a piece of cake.

The short duration of 3 hours entails the understanding of the  most deeper basics of music which opens up the creative minds to experimenting with various genres of music.

SYLLABUS

•   Melody  –  Notes (Pitch), Scales, Modes
•   Harmony –  Chords –  Triads
•  Rhythm –  Tempo , Note values. Time Signature
•  Chord Progression –  Genres & Rhythm,  Diatonic and Chromatic   Progression   and Transposition
• Notation –  Clefs, Note Value & Rests, Time and Key Signatures,  Slurs & Ties,  Dynamics and Accents, Riffs and Vamps
• Song form –   Introduction,  Pop/Rock Songs, Bridges, Intros & outros, Chorus & Versus and how to read Lead Sheets
• Lyrics –  Protocols
• Composing and creating basic Digital Music arrangements
